Privacy notice

Tak Sun Secondary School runs TSSS Focus to deliver short training courses to parents, students and staff. This notice explains what personal data the app keeps, why, who can see it and for how long, in line with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.

What we collect

Your account: the login ID and name the school gave you, and the groups or classes you belong to.
Your learning: which courses are assigned to you, which questions in each video you have passed, your answers to questions, what you write in short-answer questions, and when you did each step.
Sign-in records: when you signed in, and failed sign-in attempts, to protect your account.

Why we collect it

To show you your courses and let you continue from the last question you passed.
To let the school see who has completed each course and follow up where needed.
To keep accounts secure.
The school does not use this data for any other purpose, and does not use it for marketing.

Who can see it

Only the school's TSSS Focus administrators can see names, progress and answers.
Other parents, students and staff cannot see your information.
The app runs on Cloudflare, which stores the data and videos for the school in its Asia-Pacific region. Cloudflare acts as the school's service provider and does not use the data for its own purposes.

How long we keep it

Progress, answers and short-answer text are kept until the 31 August after the course's due date (or, if it has none, after the date it opened). After that date the school deletes them and keeps only a record of whether you completed the course and when.
When someone leaves the school, the administrators remove their account together with every record linked to it.
Sign-in records are deleted automatically after 90 days.

How it is protected

Connections are encrypted. Passwords are stored only in a scrambled form that cannot be read back.
The app uses only the cookies it needs to work: one to keep you signed in, and two to remember your language and light or dark colours. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

You may ask to see the personal data the school holds about you, or ask the school to correct it.
